Adding a dummy entry in Show Creator

In Show Creator, it would be very helpful to be able to add a dummy entry so that stickers can also be added for effects that occur multiple times but are not electrically ignited because they are installed in a series connection or are pyrotechnically delayed. This would also be very helpful for identical effects that are used on different modules with the same channel setting.

Sebastian Hahnke Thanks for the suggestion. We have a similar request open for the ability to add a quantity field for events with multiple effects. Would this request accomplish what you're looking for?

Sara Aldsworth No. The other suggestion is about several identical effects at the same cue. However, it may also be the case that different effects are to be fired at the same cue. I think my suggestion is the more universal solution and also covers the other suggestion.

Sebastian Hahnke, you can accomplish this by simply using the “duplicate” function on the event that will have multiple shots. CSC nor the 18R2 will care if you reuse a specific channel/cue combo. (CSC may alert you in some cases, but it’s only a notification, not an illegal input.)
This will effectively create your dummy event that will subsequently generate a label for it. As an additional layer of clarity, when I do this, I update the product name like “PFX30CM-R (x5)”. That way I or my crew know to expect (5) shots on that cue, as opposed to plugging in the single shot and then finding 4 more left over and wondering if something was scripted incorrectly.

Andre LeBlanc Yes, that works as a workaround.
But it would be better if a note were printed on the sticker (e.g., “dummy”) and the effects were not saved in the script. This makes it clearer for the colleague who has to set up the effects and prevents unnecessary data transfers.
