In CSC, when you convert a timed event (with a duration) into a comment, the comment keeps the duration of the event it replaced on the waveform/timeline. This is different from creating an event with zero duration specifically to make an inline comment.

The only way I can think of to remove the comment's duration is to make sure the original event doesn't have a duration value.
