I have the plastic QP slat covers and have made my own fireproof covers using welders blanket material. I've done the same for all my module cases as well. I also sprayed the inner side with clear FlexSteel to make them waterproof as well. I have also spray painted the channel number on the covers using stencils so i can easily find them if needed. I made a square jig so I could push the square cover material into it and then took my heat gun to go around the 4 sides so when I remove it from the jig, it maintains its shape and doesn't slide off the slat or module covers. Works great.
