Currently it is difficult to tell right away if a segment is out on the 18M display, which can lead to issues with setting the correct channel, or seeing accurate error codes.

LCD is bad in cold condition and it sux at high Temperatur.

I had suggested 2-3 years ago that the POST should include displaying [888]. This would immediately tell you if a segment is out.
