Might pick a different color than red, as red is mostly reserved for warnings.
Perhaps just make the channel Indicator partially transparent (reduced opacity) so it remains a non-confusing color but also readily indicates it's been "used up"

Russ Gardiner red is used on the 18r2 to show cues have been fired, it is also used on the touchpad showing cues are fired. Any color would work however red would keep this uniform basically showing that module is done. I could see the point on a scripted show however on a manual fire show there are no pre-programmed modules in a script where a color would need to indicate a problem
